This Past Week...

Hello dear brothers & sisters!
We've missed you this week, sorry we were not able to communicate. We are back in Vladimir, staying at the church now through the end of our trip. We are glad to be able to stay in the House of the Lord, the atmosphere is sweet and we are warm and comfortable!  We'll try to catch you up a bit on the past week...

Sunday was the last day of the conference... Jeff taught the morning service, then we all attended workshops for singles/marrieds; Christina taught the married women, Christine helped to organize.  We ended the day with Q & A, dinner, and goodbyes. We all learned a lot and agreed that it went by much too fast.
Q&A - Last Day of Conference

We checked out of the Golden Ring Hotel Monday morning and headed on the Express train to Moscow where we spent the day as tourists, with Sasha of CCV, Pastor Manny and Chuck from CC Lakewood, Ca. It was a great day and we were so thankful to see some sites, make some purchases and visit with Luba, a sister from the church in Vladimir.

Tuesday morning we left for the city of Kolchugino where we spent the last 3 days. Tues-Wed we did street evangelism with the church there. The culmination of the trip was a concert Wed night in the Grand Cafe with ZION, an R&R band from the church in Vladimir. Christine and Jerry both shared their testimonies with the somewhat difficult crowd! We were able to share with some people and we know seeds were planted! Pastor Anatoly roamed the streets during the days with us, praying with people and leading 3 people to Christ! His wife, Ira, kept busy praying and fixing some amazing food. Today we spent the day at their flat with the church in their home, eating, worshiping, resting, and eating some more! Tomorrow, it's on to the city of Ivanova with Pastor Pasha and Sasha, to check out the town and see what the Lord may have in store as far as a church plant in that city!

I'll leave you with the verse Christine shared as an encouragement for the church of God in Kolchugino upon our departure:  Ps 18:2 "The LORD is my rock and my fortress
and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in Whom I will trust; my shield
and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."
With much love in Christ Jesus our Lord, Christina
